Alex is a 2007 graduate of Smithtown East High School. He is the son of Gary and Debra Mendolia.
Senior year...Named Second Team All-Skyline after playing in every game for Farmingdale State. He scored three goals and recorded two assists for eight points, which was second on the team. All three of his goals were scored in conference games.
Junior year...Started all 20 games, scoring three goals and recording four assists. Third on the team with 10 points. Had one game-winning goal for the Rams.
