Arthurs Named to ECAC Division III Metro All-Star Team
- Arthurs receives Second-Team honors -
Cape Cod, Mass. - Junior defender Mat Arthurs (Islip Terrace, N.Y./East Islip) was named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Metro All-Star Team for men's soccer. Arthurs received Second-Team honors.
Arthurs led a Farmingdale State defense that was second the Skyline Conference with seven shutouts in 20 games played this season. The Rams recorded shutouts in five of their eight Skyline Conference games and were second in the Skyline with a 0.49 goals against average in conference games. Farmingdale State finished the year 10-9-1 and fell to Drew University, 2-1, in the ECAC Metro Championship game.
