
Pancotto Scores Overtime Winner

Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State
men's soccer team defeated Bard College on Saturday, 1-0, giving
the Rams the top seed in the Skyline Conference playoffs.
The game was a defensive struggle, with neither team scoring in the 90 minutes of regulation play. Farmingdale State held a 6-2 shot advantage over bard in regulation, not allowing a shot in the first half.
Farmingdale State freshman forward Nick Pancotto (Islip, N.Y./Islip) broke the scoreless tie 6:47 into the overtime period, scoring an unassisted goal. The win secures home field advantage for the Rams.
Junior goalkeeper Patrick Gubbins (East Patchogue, N.Y./Bellport) made three saves in the victory for Farmingdale, while freshman goalkeeper Deven Connelly (High Falls, N.Y./Rondout Valley) made six saves for Bard in the loss.
The Rams now receive a bye in the first round of the Skyline Conference playoffs. Farmingdale State will host the Old Westbury vs. Bard College winner on Thursday, November 6th at 2:00 p.m.
