Old Westbury, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's soccer team lost their first Skyline Conference game of the season on Saturday afternoon, 2-0, in Old Westbury, N.Y. The Rams outshot the Panthers 9-6 in the first half, but could not capitalize in this defensive struggle.

The games turning point came at the 66:48 mark, when Farmingdale State had a player recieve his second yellow card of the contest, resulting in an ejection which forced the Rams to play the final 23 minutes a man down. Old Westbury's John Senatore (Ridge, N.Y./Longwood) would break the scoreless tie with fifteen minutes remaining and Justin Leaky (Brooklyn, N.Y./Baldwin) would add the teams second goal, nine minutes later. Despite out shooting Old Westbury 22-13, Farmingdale State fell on the road.

Rams junior goalkeeper Patrick Gubbins (East Patchogue, N.Y./Bellport) made five saves in the defeat, while Darian Bryan (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont Memorial) made nine saves in the win for Old Westbury.

Farmingdale State will face off against St. Joseph's College in a home Skyline Conference game on Wednesday, October 29th at 4:00 p.m.
