Rams Take Conference Win over Maritime

Throgs Neck, N.Y. - With a 3-0 shutout against
Maritime (5-6-2, 1-2-1), the Farmingdale State men's soccer team
improved to 7-5 overall and 4-0 in the Skyline. Sophomore defender
Ryan Hartman (Brooklyn, N.Y./Deer Park) scored the only goal of the
first half off a pass from junior defender Mat Arthurs (East Islip,
N.Y./East Islip), giving the Rams a 1-0 lead at the half.
In the second, Farmingdale State added two more goals with an unassisted goal from sophomore forward Ryan Paul (Sayville, N.Y./Sayville), and just before the game ended a goal by freshman forward Nick Pancotto (Islip, N.Y./Islip), assisted by Ryan Paul.
The Privateers would remain scoreless with four saves from junior goalkeeper Patrick Gubbins (East Patchogue, N.Y./East Patchogue) in the second half, Gubbins finished with five total saves for his third shutout of the year.
The Rams will host the College of Mount Saint Vincent this Saturday, October 18th at Noon.
