Freshman Fabian Santibanez (Oyster Bay, NY/Oyster Bay) scored two goals for the Rams (2-2) in a 4-0 win over visiting York College (0-5) on Monday afternoon. Farmingdale held a one goal lead at the half, after freshman Bryan Marksteiner (Seaford, NY/Island Trees) scored off a cross in the 38th minute of play. Santibanez scored his two goals inside a minute, at 47:40 and 48:15. Sophomore Andrew Jardine (Centereach, NY/Our Savior New American) added the final Farmingdale goal on a breakaway with two minutes remaining. Senior Patric Santiago (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) picked up his second shutout with 6 saves.
York College goalie Kafui Kouakou (Togo, Africa/CTC Ora Labora) faced 28 shots and finished the game with 12 saves.
Farmingdale will travel to Merchant Marine for their first Skyline conference game of the year on Wednesday night, September 14th at 7:30pm.
