NORMAN, OK | The NCAA Division III PING All-Region teams have been announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and Farmingdale State juniors Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.) and Mackenzie Kim (East Quogue, N.Y.) were each honored. This marks the first All-Region selections for FSC since the 2015-16 season, when Scott Sessions was named.
Iguchi led the Rams with a team-best 73.52 scoring average this season. He posted five top-5 finishes, including a pair of victories at the FSC Skyline Invitational and the MSMC Spring Invitational. At Riverview Country Club in The Melee on October 15-16, Iguchi opened with a 77 and followed with a school-record round of 66 (-5) in the final round to earn a runner-up finish. At the Shoals Collegiate hosted by Emory University (April 10-11), Iguchi led the team with rounds of 75, 73 and 74. He closed out the season with an impressive showing at the NCAA Championship after posting scores of 75 and 72. Iguchi registered four rounds in the 60's during the 2022-23 season.
Kim recorded a 74.56 scoring average this year. He opened the season with a victory at the MSMC Skyline Opener after shooting an even par round of 72. Two days later at The Gauntlet on September 11-12, Kim tied for second with rounds of 73 and 68. His final round of 68 was a career-best for Kim. At the Skyline Conference Championship at Bethpage Red, Kim posted a pair of 74's and took second place behind teammate Brad Castaldy. Kim tallied four top-5 finishes on the year.
