NICHOLASVILLE, KY | The Farmingdale State men's golf team opened with a team total of 317 in the First Round of the 2023 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship. FSC played the Champion Trace course and is currently in a tie for 36th out of 43 competing schools.

Junior Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.) led the Rams with a 3-over par round of 75 and is in 78th place individually. He carded a trio of birdies on the day.

Junior Brad Castaldy (Dix Hills, N.Y.), who made the cut individually at last year's Championship, fired an 80, while both junior Liam Miller (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) and freshman James Quinlan (Poughquag, N.Y.) shot 81 in the First Round. Quinlan had four birdies on the back nine.

Junior Mackenzie Kim (East Quogue, N.Y.) posted an 85 in round one for FSC.

St. John's (MN) currently leads the pack with a team total of 284 (-4) on the day.

The Rams will play the Keene Run Golf Course on Wednesday for the Second Round with all groups teeing off at 10:00 a.m.
