Iguchi Earns Medalist Honors as Rams Win MSMC Invitational

NEWBURGH, N.Y. | Farmingdale State junior Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.) fired a spring-season-low round of 69 (-1) to win the MSMC Spring Invitational on Friday afternoon. Iguchi led the men's golf team to victory in the eight-team field with FSC recording a team-total of 311 to beat second place Manhattanville (323) by 12 strokes.

Iguchi earned medalist honors by six strokes with runner-up Pat Shea of Mount Saint Mary College shooting 75 (+5) on the day.

Farmingdale State freshman James Quinlan (Poughquag, N.Y.) was third individually after a 76 on Friday.

Junior Brad Castaldy (Dix Hills, N.Y.) placed tied for eighth with an 81, while junior Kristian Srica (Farmingdale, N.Y.) fired an 85 to round out the scoring for the Rams. 

The men's golf team next returns to action on Friday, May 5th when they host Nichols College in a match play at Bethpage State Park - Black Course.
