Men's Golf Finishes Fifth at Garden State Collegiate Classic

WASHINGTON, NJ | The Farmingdale State men's golf team competed in the Garden State Collegiate Classic at the Hawk Pointe Golf Club in Washington, N.J. on Sunday and placed fifth out of 10 competing schools after finishing with a team total of 295 (+7). The host Drew University Rangers won the event with a score of 285 (-3). Arcadia shot a one-over par, 289 for second place.

Junior Mackenzie Kim (East Quogue, N.Y.) led the way for Farmingdale State with a even-par score of 72, while juniors Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.) and Brad Castaldy (Dix Hills, N.Y.) both shot 74 (+2).

Kim finished tied for eighth place out of 59 competitors.

Junior Liam Miller (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) completed the team scoring and was fourth on Farmingdale State with a 75 (+3).

Freshmen James Quinlan (Poughquag, N.Y.) (78 (+6)) and Dominick Sturtz (East Islip, N.Y.) (79 (+7)) also competed for the Rams and placed 37th and 41st, respectively.

Drew's Elliot Parker earned medalist honors after firing a 68 (-4) on Sunday. 

The men's golf team will next host the FSC Spring Invitational at Bethpage State Park - Red Course on Saturday, April 22nd and Sunday, April 23rd.
