MUSCLE SHOALS, AL | The Farmingdale State men's golf team traveled to Alabama over the weekend and competed in a DIII Showcase hosted by #1 Nationally ranked Emory on Monday and Tuesday and came in 16th place with a two-day, three-round total of 941. The Showcase featured eight schools ranked in the top-25 of Division III.

Emory and #3 Methodist tied for first place with a two-day total of 862.

Junior Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.) led FSC with a total of 222 (+6). He shot 75 and 73 in Monday's first two rounds, respectively, before closing with a 74 on Tuesday. Iguchi finished in 22nd place individually out of 96 competing student-athletes. He tallied an eagle and six birdies in the tournament.

Junior Mackenzie Kim (East Quogue, N.Y.) finished second on FSC with a total of 235, including a 75 in the third round, and placed tied for 65th.

Junior Liam Miller (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) posted rounds of 81, 82 and 78 for a 241, while junior Brad Castaldy (Dix Hills, N.Y.) fired an 82 in each of his three rounds for a 246.

Freshman James Quinlan (Poughquag, N.Y.) rounded out the results for Farmingdale State shooting 248 in the tournament.

Cameron Cappuzzo of Methodist earned medalist honors as he totaled 207 (-9) in the three rounds. Brian Xu (212, -4) of #4 ranked Carnegie Mellon was second.

The FSC men's golf will return home on Wednesday before traveling to compete in the Garden State Collegiate Classic at the Hawk Pointe Golf Club in Washington, N.J. on Saturday, April 15th and Sunday, April 16th.
