ROUND ONE RESULTS


EASTON, PA | Farmingdale State junior Liam Miller (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) shot a career-low 71 in the first round of The Melee tournament at Riverview Country Club in Easton, Pennsylvania on Saturday. Miller birdied the final three holes and is tied for first place individually with Zach Bruecks of Eastern and Fletcher Bolda of Arcadia.

The men's golf team fired a team total of 297 and is tied with Swarthmore College for second place. Moravian University sits in first place after shooting a 296 on day one.

Junior Brad Castaldy (Dix Hills, N.Y.) shot a plus-2, 73 in the first round and is tied for fifth place out of 58 competitors.

Juniors Mackenzie Kim (East Quogue, N.Y.) (76) and Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.) (77) are in 14th and 18th place, respectively.

Freshman James Quinlan (Poughquag, N.Y.) recorded a 79 and is tied for 26th.

The Rams are scheduled to tee off at 12:15 p.m. in tomorrow's final round of The Melee.
