Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. - Sophomore Brad Castaldy (Dix Hills, N.Y.) finished tied for 48th place out of 221 competitors at the 2022 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship. He had a four-day total of 306.

Castaldy shot 74 (+2) on the par 72 El Campeon and 75 (+4) on the par 71 Las Colinas in rounds one and two to make the cut as an individual, just the second player in program history (Masanao Maruyama in 2009).

In the third and fourth rounds, he recorded scores of 77 (+5) and 80 (+8), respectively.

In Friday's final round, Castaldy became the third player in school history to record a hole-in-one at the NCAA Championship. He hit an 8-iron from 167 yards on the second hole of El Campeon which landed eight feet left of the pin and spun into the hole. Castaldy joins Adam Larkin and Rich Kelly, who fired hole-in-ones on back-to-back days at the 2011 Championship.
