Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team finished in 27th place following the second round of the 2022 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship on Wednesday. The Rams shot a 316 on the par 71 Las Colinas course this afternoon and finished with a two-day total of 636. The top 18 teams moved onto rounds three and four, while the remaining teams were cut.

Sophomore Brad Castaldy (Dix Hills, N.Y.) fired a 75 (+4) on Wednesday after shooting 74 (+2) in round one. He made the cut as one of the top six individuals (not on an advancing team) with his two-day score of 149. Castaldy sits tied for 26th place and becomes just the second in school history to make the cut as an individual. Masanao Maruyama (2009) is the only other individual in program history to make the cut at the NCAA's.

Junior Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.) recorded an 80 in the second round and finished with a 160 across the two days.

Sophomore Liam Miller (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) carded rounds of 81 and 83 for a total of 164.

After shooting an 85 yesterday, senior Eli Leone-Formisano (Monroe, N.Y.) shot an 80 on Wednesday for a 165 total. 

Sophomore Mackenzie Kim (East Quogue, N.Y.) tallied an 81 this afternoon and recorded a 167 two-day total.

Methodist University (581), who shot 289 today, leads Carnegie Mellon University (587) by six strokes.

Henry Angier of Methodist followed his even round one with a -2 and leads two others by one stroke.
