Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team posted a final round score of 299 this afternoon at the Bethpage State Park - Red Course. The Rams finished in fifth place out of seven teams at their spring invitational with a two-day total of 601.

NYU set the FSC Invitational scoring record with a two-day total of 577 (289-288) and earned a 15-stroke victory over runner-up Skidmore (289-303-592). Husson (293-302-595) and RPI (299-298-597) finished in third and fourth place, respectively.

Sophomore Brad Castaldy (Dix Hills, N.Y.) followed his opening round of 73 with a 74 today for a total of 147 and a T9 finish. Junior Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.) recorded a two-day total of 148 (73-75) and placed T12, while sophomore Mackenzie Kim (East Quogue, N.Y.) (T22) carded rounds of 78 and 75. Senior Eli Leone-Formisano (Monroe, N.Y.) also finished tied for 22nd with scores of 77 and 76 for Farmingdale State.

Individually, Colby Mitchell of Nichols College earned medalist honors with a total of 139 (71-68). Mitchell's final round score of 68 (-2) was the low round of the tournament. NYU's Joey Burlison (70-73-143) finished in second place, four strokes behind Mitchell.

The Rams next will head to Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, N.Y. for the Old Westbury Invitational on Friday, April 29th.
