Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team won the Skyline Conference Championship for the 13th time in program history this afternoon at the Bethpage State Park - Blue Course. The Rams shot a final round of 319 for a two-day total of 632 and a 13-stroke victory over runner-up Manhattanville.
FSC freshman Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. Iguchi recorded a two-day total of 151 (75-76) to claim the individual title by one stroke.
Freshman Brad Castaldy (Dix Hills, N.Y.) posted scores of 77 and 82 for a total of 159 and a fourth place finish. Freshman Mackenzie Kim (East Quogue, N.Y.) followed an opening round of 79 with an 81 today to place fifth in the field of 36. Freshman Liam Miller (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) (7th place), who is in his first season of collegiate golf, recorded rounds of 84 and 80 to be named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year.
Manhattanville's Ryan Moran (76-76) and Reid Robertson (74-80) finished in second and third place, respectively.
FSC has earned the conference's automatic bid into the 2022 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships at Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida from May 10th-13th.
