Men's Golf Finishes in Eighth Place at Saratoga National Invitational

Saratoga Springs, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team finished in eighth place at the Saratoga National Invitational hosted by Skidmore College. The Rams matched their opening round and shot 321 on Sunday for a total of 642 over the weekend.

Babson College (590), who shot a 294 in the second round, won the Invite by 11 strokes over second place RPI (601). Hamilton, Skidmore and NYU each shot 604 and tied for third place.

Freshman Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.) led FSC with a two-day total of 154 and came in 24th place. Freshman Liam Miller (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) followed his opening round of 79 and carded an 80 on Sunday for a two-day total of 159.

Freshman Brad Castaldy (Dix Hills, N.Y.) rounded out the top three for FSC as he shot 83 on Saturday and 79 on Sunday for a total of 162.

Individually, only two players shot a two-day total under par. Joey Harrigan (141) of RPI earned medalist honors, while Jack Godin (142) of Trinity (CT) came in second place.

The Rams next will host the Skyline Conference Championship on Sunday and Monday, October 17th and 18th, at Bethpage State Park - Blue Course.
