New Tripoli, Penn. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team finished in third place after posting a team total of 603 at the Rosemont College Invitational held at the Olde Homestead Golf Club in New Tripoli, Penn this weekend. The Rams shot 302 in Saturday's first round and followed with a 301 this afternoon. York (Penn.) College (594) edged out Stevens Institute of Technology (595) to earn the victory in the field of 11 teams.

Farmingdale State was led by freshman Mackenzie Kim (East Quogue, N.Y.) who fired a team-low 147. Kim posted a round one score of 74 and followed with a 73 today to place fifth individually. 

Freshman Brad Castaldy (Dix Hills, N.Y.) shot a six-over par 150 and tied for ninth overall, while freshman Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.) posted a 151 for 11th place.

Freshman Matthew Salter (Olney, Md.) of York and senior Eddie Sot (Berkeley Heights, N.Y.) of Stevens tied for medalist honors after shooting 144 in the two rounds. 

Farmingdale State will next compete at the Manhattanville Skyline Invitational held at The Links at Union Vale in LaGrangeville, N.Y. on Friday, September 17th.
