- Iguchi, Terrell Named Players of the Week; Robiglio earns Rookie of the Week -


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released its first fall weekly report on Wednesday, September 8th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.

Women's Soccer Update (1-1, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The FSC women's soccer team split a pair of non-conference games over the weekend, defeating Lynchburg, 2-1, and falling to Roanoke, 4-1.

Freshman forward Jazzmin Terrell (West Babylon, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Terrell scored the opening goal in the victory against Lynchburg and assisted FSC's lone goal versus Roanoke for three points on the week. Freshman forward Francesca Robiglio (West Islip, N.Y.) was tabbed the Rookie of the Week after scoring the game-winner in the 59th minute against the Hornets on Saturday.

This week, the Rams will head to Misericordia University for the Cougar Classic. Farmingdale State will square off against #5 Carnegie Mellon on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. and Shenandoah on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

 

Men's Golf Update - Skyline Full Report

The men's golf team won the season-opening FSC Skyline Invitational with a 22-stroke victory over second place Manhattanville.

Freshman Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.), who fired an even par round of 72, tied for medalist honors with the Valiants Reid Robertson and earned Co-Player of the Week honors.

Farmingdale State next will head to the Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort in Delaware, Penn. for the Rosemont College Invitational on Saturday, September 11th and Sunday, September 12th.

 

Men's Soccer Update (0-1, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

In their lone game last week, the men's soccer team fell to Eastern, 2-1, in overtime.

FSC plays two non-conference games this week: Wednesday at Baruch @ 5:00 p.m. and Saturday at New Paltz @ 1:30 p.m.

 

Women's Volleyball Update (0-2, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

Farmingdale State fell to Eastern Connecticut State in a pair of matches last week. 

This week, the women's volleyball team will play five road non-conference matches as they head to Western Connecticut State on Wednesday @ 7:00 p.m., before traveling to the Wheaton Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

 

Women's Tennis Update (0-1, 0-0 Skyline)

The women's tennis team fell to Stevens, 7-2, in their season opener. 

Farmingdale State plays one match this week: Saturday vs. Hunter College @ 12:00 p.m.

 

Cross Country Update - Men's Full Report  - Women's Full Report

The men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Adelphi Panthers Invite last week and placed, 11th and 13th, respectively.

FSC next competes in the Mount Saint Mary College Knight Invitational on Sunday, September 26th.
