West Chester, Pa. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team opened with a team total of 316 in the first round of the 2019 Montgomery Cup hosted by Rosemont College at Concord Country Club in West Chester, Pa. The Rams currently sit in a tie for eighth place out of 12 teams.

FSC was led by freshman Kyle Zere (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) who posted a 77, while freshman Nick Gregorio (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) carded a 78. Sophomore Eli Leone-Formisano (Monroe, N.Y.) recorded an 80 and freshman Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.) pitched in with an 81 today.

Stevens leads after a day one total of 298, while host school Rosemont (299) is in second place. Swarthmore (300) is currently in third place heading into tomorrow's final round. There are five teams within four strokes of the lead.

Individually, Rosemont's Nathan Moore and Eddie Sat of Stevens are tied for the lead after shooting 2-under par 68's.

Tomorrow's final round begins at 11:00 a.m.
