Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team entered today's final round trailing Rosemont College by one shot and posted a 304 this afternoon at the Bethpage State Park - Red Course. The Rams finished with a two day total of 608 (304-304) and took second place out of 12 teams.

Freshman Kyle Zere (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) led the way for FSC and finished in third place with scores of 71 and 73 for a total of 144. Freshman Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.) tied for fifth (72-76-148), while sophomore Eli Leone-Formisano (Monroe, N.Y.) shot 77 today. Freshman Justin Bifolco (Farmingdale, N.Y.), competing in his first tournament, recorded a final round of 78 for Farmingdale State.

Rosemont fired a tournament-low score of 298 this afternoon and finished with a two day total of 601 (303-298) to claim the team title.

Individually, Rosemont's Michael Lange (75-68-143) and Mac Patch of Johnson & Wales (69-74-143) tied for medalist honors.

FSC next will compete in the 2019 Montgomery Cup hosted by Rosemont College at Concord Country Club in West Chester, Pennsylvania on October 5 & 6.
