Nicholasville, KY - The Farmingdale State men's golf team opened with a team total of 321 in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Division III National Championship at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky. FSC played the Keene Run golf course today and are currently tied for 32nd place out of 42 teams.

The Rams were led by senior Chris Fischer (Mineola, N.Y.) who is tied for 60th place after posting a 4-over par round of 76. Fischer came to the 18th hole at +1 and after his tee shot found the water left of the fairway he carded a triple bogey en route to 76.

Junior Brian Crawford (Stormville, N.Y.) recorded an opening round of 80, while senior Jamie Jones (Uttoxeter, UK) shot 82. Freshman Eli Leone-Formisano (Monroe, N.Y.) posted an 83 and sophomore Taylor Stoerback (St. James, N.Y.) added an 84 for Farmingdale State.

Illinois Wesleyan (287) leads by one stroke over Concordia-TX (288). Trinity (CT) is in third place after a day one team total of 290.

Indivudally, Sam Goldenring (69) of Williams College is one shot ahead of four players.
