North Dartmouth, Mass. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team fired an opening round of 327 at the Westport Hampton Inn Spring Invitational held at Allendale Country Club in North Dartmouth, Mass. The Rams are currently in 10th place out of 14 teams after day one.

In the windy conditions, senior Chris Fischer (Mineola, N.Y.) led the way for FSC with an 80. He was 9-over par on the opening nine and posted nine straight pars to close out his round. Junior Brian Crawford (Stormville, N.Y.) and sophomore Taylor Stoerback (St. James, N.Y.) each carded rounds of 81 for the Rams.

Host school UMass-Dartmouth leads the team competition after shooting 307 today, while Nichols (316) is nine strokes back. Endicott recorded a team total of 318 and is currently in third place.

Individually, Husson's Gavin Dugas (73) leads by one over Alex Honigford (74) of Tufts.

The Rams will begin tomorrow's final round with a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start.
