Ballston Spa, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team competed in the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational hosted by Skidmore College held at Ballston Spa Country Club this afternoon and posted an opening round team total of 318. After day one, the Rams currently sit in 10th place out of 15 teams.

FSC was led by senior Chris Fischer (Mineola, N.Y.) who shot a round one score of 2-over par 73. He birdied three of the four par 5's and is currently tied for 13th place individually. Senior Jamie Jones (Uttoxeter, UK) and junior Brian Crawford (Stormville, N.Y.) each carded rounds of 78 for the Rams.

Middlebury College leads the team competition with an opening round score of 287 (+3), while Trinity-CT (290) is in second and Williams (294) is in third place.

Individually, Will Rosenfield of Trinity (CT) and Middlebury's Jeffrey Giguere each posted rounds of 67 (-4) and hold a two-stroke lead over Skidmore's Damian Hammond (69).

The Rams begin tomorrow's final round at 8:50 a.m.
