Winter Garden, Fla. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team opened the spring season at Orange County National's Crooked Cat Course with a dual match against Luther College on Sunday and fell, 319-306.
FSC was led by senior Chris Fischer (Mineola, N.Y.) who tied for third place after posting a 76. Senior Jamie Jones (Uttoxeter, UK) (T5) carded a 79, while junior Brian Crawford (Stormville, N.Y.) shot 81 for the Rams.
Luther's Joe Fewer and Ben Phipps tied for medalist honors by shooting rounds of 75 and Spencer Horst (76) tied for third place in the victory.
Farmingdale State next will travel to Bellport Country Club for the St. Joseph's-LI Spring Invitational on Saturday, April 6th and Sunday, April 7th.
