Baiting Hollow, N.Y. - At the first round of the Skyline Conference Golf Championship, Farmingdale State opened with a team total of 352 in the 30-35 mph winds at the Baiting Hollow Golf Club.
FSC senior Chris Fischer (Mineola, N.Y.) is tied for second place after opening with an 85 (+13), while junior Brian Crawford (Stormville, N.Y.) posted a first round score of 87. Sophomore Taylor Stoerback (St. James, N.Y.) pitched in with an 88 for the Rams.
Mount Saint Mary College (350) holds a two shot lead over Farmingdale State, while host school St. Joseph's-LI (365) is in third place.
Individually, Patrick Shea (81) of Mount Saint Mary leads by four over teammate Mat Higgins (85) and Fischer.
Tomorrow's final round begins at 10:00 a.m. with the winner receiving the conference's automatic bid to 2019 NCAA Division III Championships in May.
