New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Fall weekly report #7 on Monday, October 15th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, men's golf, women's tennis and women's volleyball.

Cross Country Update - Men's Full Report  - Women's Full Report

The men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 19th Annual St. Joseph's Invitational in Kings Park, N.Y. last week, and finished in 10th and 15th place, respectively. 

Freshman Joshua Green (Shelter Island, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Conference Runner of the Week for the third time after placing fourth individually in a time of 28:14.5. For the women, junior Erin Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) earned a spot on the Honor Roll as she finished third in the 5k course in a time of 19:58.5.

FSC will now compete at the Skyline Conference Championship at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome in Milton, N.Y.

 

Men's Golf Update - Skyline Full Report

Farmingdale State competed at the Saratoga National Invitational hosted by Skidmore College this past weekend and finished in eighth place. 

Junior Brian Crawford (Stormville, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Conference Golfer of the Week. He posted rounds of 79 and 75 for a two-day total of 154 and a 20th place finish.

The men's golf team next will travel to Baiting Hollow Club on Sunday and Monday for the Skyline Conference Championship.

 

Women's Soccer Update (12-3-1, 6-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The FSC women's soccer team earned a trio of conference victories last week, defeating Yeshiva (10-0), Maritime (6-0) and St. Joseph's-L.I. (2-1). 

Senior midfielder Allison Khare (Deer Park, N.Y.) was tabbed to the Honor Roll after recording two goals and as many assists including the overtime game-winner against SJC-LI. 

The Rams will play a pair of home games this week: Thursday vs. New York University @ 7:00 p.m. and Saturday vs. Sarah Lawrence @ 2:30 p.m. on Senior Day.

 

Women's Tennis Update (10-4, 4-2 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

In three Skyline matches last week to end the regular season, the Rams were 1-2 with an 8-1 win versus Yeshiva and a pair of 8-1 losses to St. Joseph's-L.I. and Purchase.

FSC finished the season 10-4 overall and 4-2 in the conference and have earned the #3 seed for the Skyline Conference Championship. The Rams will travel to #2 St. Joe's-L.I. on Wednesday, October 17th @ 6:00 p.m. for a Semifinals match. The winner will advance to the Finals which will be played on Saturday, October 20th at the site of the highest remaining seed.

 

Men's Soccer Update (6-7, 2-4 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The men's soccer team dropped two double overtime contests last week, falling to both Yeshiva and Mount Saint Mary, 2-1. This week the Rams play three home Skyline Conference games: Tuesday vs. Mount Saint Vincent @ 4:00 p.m., Thursday vs. Sarah Lawrence @ 4:00 p.m. and Saturday vs. St. Joseph's-L.I @ noon on Senior Day.

 

Women's Volleyball Update (7-19, 4-2 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

In four matches last week, the women's volleyball team was 1-3 with a win over Old Westbury (3-1) and losses to St. Joseph's-L.I. (3-1), Misericordia (3-0) and Eastern Connecticut (3-0).

This week, the Rams will play host to non-conference opponent Western Connecticut on Tuesday @ 7:00 p.m. before a road Skyline tri-match on Sunday. FSC will first square off against host school Maritime @ 1:00 p.m. and follow with a match versus Merchant Marine @ 3:00 p.m.
