Saratoga Springs, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team traveled to Saratoga Springs, N.Y. for the Saratoga National Invitational hosted by Skidmore College. In a field that featured six of the top-8 teams in the Northeast Region, the Rams opened with a 323 and are in eighth place out of nine after round one.

FSC was led by senior Chris Fischer (Mineola, N.Y.) who shot a 6-over par 78, while junior Brian Crawford (Stormville, N.Y.) was one behind Fischer with an opening round score of 79.

Middlebury posted a team total of 294 and leads Trinity (CT) (297) by three strokes. Individually, Middlebury's Philippe Morin carded a 2-under par 70 and holds a one shot lead over Nike Gianelos (71) of Babson College.

Farmingdale State will begin tomorrow's final round at 10:20 a.m.
