Shawnee on Delaware, Penn. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team shot a final round 296 for a two day total of 604 and a seventh place finish out of 12 teams at the 2018 Montgomery Cup hosted by Rosemont College held at the Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort.
FSC senior Chris Fischer (Mineola, N.Y.) followed his opening round of 72 with a 1-under par 71 on Sunday for a total of 143 and a T7 finish. Junior Brian Crawford (Stormville, N.Y.) finished in a tie for 29th place after rounds of 75 and 76 (151), while senior Jamie Jones (Uttoxeter, UK) shot 154 (79-75). Senior Joe Itzkowitz (Smithtown, N.Y.) pitched in with a final round 75 for the Rams.
Allegheny College (287-278-565) finished at 11-under par to beat out runner-up York (PA) (282-290-572) by seven strokes.
York's Casey Leebrick (67-69-136) earned a two stroke victory over teammate Tyler Newton (69-69-138) and Andy Reynolds (69-69-138) of Allegheny College.
Farmingdale State next will host their Fall Invitational at the Bethpage State Park - Red Course on Friday, September 28th at 11:00 a.m.
