Ballston Spa, N.Y. - At the first round of the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational hosted by Skidmore College at Ballston Spa Country Club, the Farmingdale State men's golf team opened with a team total of 321 and are in seventh place out of 14 teams.

The Rams were led by junior Chris Fischer (Mineola, N.Y.) who is tied for sixth after posting a team-best round of 76. Fischer was 6-over par through 17 and birdied the 190 yard par 3 sixth hole, which was his last hole of the day, for his 76. Junior Jack Truncale (Nesconset, N.Y.) is currently tied for 19th place individually after carding an 8-over par 79 for FSC.

St. Thomas Aquinas (304) holds a two shot lead over Babson (306) and RPI (307) is in third place three strokes back.

Individually, Chris Bornhorst of Babson fired a 1-under par 70 and leads Michael Miranda (St. Thomas Aquinas) by two. RPI's Austin Rupp (73) is three behind and in third place.

Farmingdale State will begin their final round tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m.
