Bloomfield, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team followed a day one 317 with a final round 315 for a two-day total of 632 and a fourth place finish out of 12 teams at the NYU Spring Invitational at Forest Hill Field Club.
Senior Andrew Goldman (Hauppauge, N.Y.) led the Rams with a T8 finish after posting rounds of 74 and 78 for a total of 152. Junior Chris Fischer (Mineola, N.Y.), who opened with an 80 yesterday, carded a 79 today and placed T17, while junior Jamie Jones (Uttoxeter, UK) (20th place) tied his career-low with a final round of 76.
NYU claimed a six-shot victory (298-305-603) over runner-up RPI (299-310-609), while Trinity (CT) (307-312-619) took third place.
Individually, RPI's Austin Rupp (73-74-147) earned medalist honors after defeating Robbie Keyes (73-74-147) of NYU on the first playoff hole.
FSC next will compete at the Rosemont Raven Invitational on April 14 & 15.
