Patrick is a 2014 graduate of Connetquot High School, where he was named both All-League and All-County in golf. Patrick was also named MVP in ice hockey during his sophomore, junior and senior years. He transferred to Farmingdale State after playing golf at Suffolk County Community College. In 2017, Patrick was the Long Drive National Champion and an All-American. He is the son of William and Susan O'Halloran.
