Ballston Spa, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team finished in seventh place out of 11 teams at the Skidmore College Dr. Tim Brown Invitational at Ballston Spa Country Club this weekend. The Rams posted a final round 315 for a two day total of 625.
Sophomore Jack Truncale (Nesconset, N.Y.) led the way with rounds of 75 and 79 for a total of 154 and a tie for 20th finish. Senior Matt Burnett (Farmingdale, N.Y.) carded a final round 77, while junior Andrew Goldman (Hauppauge, N.Y.) shot 79 on Sunday.
Freshman Gary Cohan (Kings Park, N.Y.) opened with a 73 and shot a day two round of 83 for a total of 166.
Division II St. Thomas Aquinas (290-284-574) claimed the team title, while Skidmore (293-297-590) was the runner-up.
Michael Miranda (St. Thomas Aquinas) earned medalist honors with rounds of 72 and 67.
FSC will have three weeks off from competition before heading to the NCAA Division III National Championships (May 16-19) at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
