Winter Garden, Fla. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team opened the spring season with a 21-stroke victory over Luther College in a dual match at Orange County National's Crooked Cat Golf Course. The Rams posted a team total of 300 in the win.
FSC was led by senior Matt Burnett (Farmingdale, N.Y.) who earned medalist honors with an even par round of 72. Junior Andrew Goldman (Hauppauge, N.Y.) placed second with a 74, while freshman Ryan Scanlon (Huntington Station, N.Y.) posted a 75.
Luther's Peter Kephart and Joe Fewer each shot rounds of 77.
The Rams next will travel to Downingtown Country Club in Downingtown, Penn. for the Rosemont College Invitational on April 1st and 2nd.
