Harrisburg, Penn. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team shot a season-best 297 in the final round of the Penn State Harrisburg Invitational at Dauphin Highlands Golf Course to earn a third place finish out of 13 teams. The Rams totaled 599 for the tournament and finished six strokes behind Penn State Harrisburg (303-290-593).

For the second consecutive day, each of FSC's five players posted a score in the 70's, led by sophomore Chris Fischer's (Mineola, N.Y.) eighth place finish (74-74-148). Junior Andrew Goldman (Hauppauge, N.Y.) fired rounds of 75 and 74 for a ninth place finish, while senior Matt Burnett (Farmingdale, N.Y.) was T11 (75-76-151). Junior Andrew Pohalski (Huntington, N.Y.), who also tied for 11th, followed his opening round of 78 with a day two score of 73.

Danny Harcourt of Gettysburg was the individual medalist with a two day total of 140 (69-71).

The Rams next will host the FSC Skyline Invitational at the Bethpage State Park - Red Course on Friday, September 23rd.
