Harrisburg, Penn. - Sophomore Chris Fischer (Mineola, N.Y.) led the Farmingdale State men's golf team with an opening round of 74 (+2) at the Penn State Harrisburg Invitational held at Dauphin Highlands Golf Course. The Rams posted a team total of 302 and are tied for second place out of 13 teams.
Fischer is tied for seventh individually, while junior Andrew Goldman (Hauppauge, N.Y.) and senior Matt Burnett (Farmingdale, N.Y.) each carded 75's and are T10.
Gettysburg (292) holds a 10-stroke lead over Farmingdale State and Muhlenberg heading into today's final round.
Individually, Danny Harcourt (Gettysburg) and Evan Overcash (Muhlenberg) lead by three strokes.
