Bellport, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men’s golf team posted a final round of 308 for a two day total of 619 to win the Long Island Intercollegiate Championship held at Bellport Country Club.

The Rams finished 25 strokes ahead runner-up St. Joseph’s.

FSC was led by senior Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) who followed his opening round of 78 with a day two score of even par 71. Sessions earned medalist honors after a birdie on the second playoff hole to defeat Nassau CC's Ross Moore.

Freshmen Jamie Jones (Rugeley, UK) and Ryan Reed (Northport, N.Y.), who did not compete yesterday, shot rounds of 76 and 79, respectively.

Senior Matt Adwar (Holbrook, N.Y.), in the final tournament of his four-year career, posted a two day total of 160 and finished in a tie for sixth place.

Freshman Chris Fischer (Mineola, N.Y.) started the round tied for second and carded a final round score of 82 to finish T5.
