Farmingdale, N.Y. - Farmingdale State senior Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) entered today's final round tied for the lead and posted a tournament-low score of 69 (-1) to finish with a two day total of 142 and earn a three stroke victory at the FSC Spring Invitational held at the Bethpage State Park - Red Course.
FSC junior Matt Burnett (Farmingdale, N.Y.), who was competing as an individual, followed his opening round of 81 with a 73 this afternoon for an 11th place finish.
Marywood's Nick Johnson (73-72) was the runner-up and Charlie Loy (76-71) of Dowling placed third, while Christian Bleck (St. Joe's) carded rounds of 75 and 73 to finish in fourth individually.
Dowling claimed the team title with a two day total of 606 (304-302) and won by eight shots over Marywood. Cabrini (616) and St. Joe's (618) finished in third and fourth place, respectively. Farmingdale State took fifth out of seven teams with scores of 312 and 308.
FSC next will head to Bellport Country Club for the L.I. Intercollegiate Championship on April 29th & 30th.
