Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team posted an opening round of 312 at the FSC Spring Invitational at the Bethpage State Park - Red Course.
The Rams were led by senior Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) who fired an opening round of 73 (+3) and is tied for the lead with Marywood's Nick Johnson. Freshman Ryan Reed (East Northport, N.Y.) carded a day one score of 77, while freshman Chris Fischer (Mineola, N.Y.) shot 79 today.
Dowling's Brian Allmendinger and Robbie Bray of St. Joseph's each recorded 74's and are tied for third place individually.
Dowling (304) holds a three stroke lead over Cabrini and Marywood, while St. Joe's (309) is in fourth place.
Final round action begins tomorrow at 9:16 a.m.
