Bloomfield, N.J. - Senior Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) fired a career-best round of 69 in the first round of the NYU Fall Invitational at Forest Hill Field Club in Bloomfield, N.J.

Sessions, who currently holds a four stroke lead over Hamilton's Joe Tigani, shot a 37 on the front nine before carding a 3-under par 32 on the back. Sessions birdied the par 3 16th hole after hitting his tee shot to three feet and used up-and-downs on the final two holes to finish off his 2-under par round.

Junior Matt Burnett (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and freshman Jamie Jones (Rugeley, UK) each posted rounds of 80 for Farmingdale State.

The Rams are currently tied for fourth place out of nine teams after a round one 318. Skidmore College (301) leads by six strokes over second place Stevens.
