Flynn Leads Rams to Victory at MSMC Invitational

Newburgh, N.Y. - Senior Dillon Flynn (Plainedge, N.Y.) fired a career-best round of 71 to lead Farmingdale State to victory at the 7-team Mount Saint Mary College Invitational. The Rams and St. Joseph’s each posted scores of 304; however, Farmingdale State earned the tiebreaker with the score of their fifth player.

Flynn recorded his first career win after finishing three strokes ahead of teammate Ryan Reed (Northport, N.Y.) and Christian Bleck of St. Joe’s who each posted 74’s. Senior Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) pitched in with a 79 for Farmingdale State.
 
Host school Mount Saint Mary finished in third place with a team total of 309.
 
FSC will now head to Forest Hill Field Club in Bloomfield, N.J. for the NYU Fall Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, play begins with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday’s action starts at 8:30 a.m.
