Pollock Named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar-Athlete

Norman, Okla. - Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars were announced on Monday, August 3rd by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Farmingdale State's Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.) was one of 70 Division III student-athletes to receive this award.

Pollock, who graduated in May with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, held an impressive 3.43 cumulative grade point average.

This season he led Farmingdale State with a team-best 75.65 scoring average in 23 rounds. In 13 events, Pollock compiled two victories, eight top-5 and 10 top-10 finishes. He tied the school record in April with a 2-under par 68 in the final round of the Long Island Intercollegiate Championship at Island Hills Country Club in Sayville, N.Y.

Over his four year career as a member of the Rams, Pollock competed in 49 events, including four NCAA Division III National Championships. His 78.55 career scoring average ranks fourth all-time at Farmingdale State.
