Farmingdale, N.Y. - Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.), who is entering his senior season at Farmingdale State, continued his solid play this summer as he qualified for the 100th Met Open Championship at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y. The Met Open will be held on August 25-27, 2015.
Sessions earned a berth into the field after posting an even par 71 at Knollwood Country Club. He carded a 2-under par 34 on his back nine which included birdies on two of the final five holes. Sessions also competed in the New York State Open at Bethpage Black and the IKE Championship at Friar's Head earlier this summer.
Former Farmingdale State golfer Adam Larkin, who is now an assistant professional at Old Oaks Country Club, shot a 72 at Knollwood to qualify for the Met Open.
Sessions will begin play on August 25th at 2:20 p.m., while Larkin tees off at 7:30 a.m.
