2015 Men's Golf Spring Season Recap


Farmingdale, N.Y. - The men's golf team earned their seventh straight trip to the NCAA Tournament and finished in 34th place out of 41 teams at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C. The Rams posted a two-day total of 642 and were led by junior Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) who shot a pair of 79's at the championship.

Farmingdale State opened the spring with a season-best score of 295 to earn a victory over Luther College and Calvin College at Orange County National's Crooked Cat Golf Course.

Senior Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.) led the Rams to a runner-up finish at the Long Island Intercollegiate Championship as he fired a school record tying 68 in the final round.

The Rams placed third at the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational at Ballston Spa Country Club in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Sessions earned medalist honors with scores of 73 and 72 as he edged Pollock by one stroke (76-70). The following week, the Rams captured the Farmingdale State Invitational at Bethpage Red as junior Matt Adwar (Holbrook, N.Y.) took the individual title with a playoff victory. 

The Rams graduated three seniors this year.
