Pollock and Sessions Named All-Region


Norman, Okla. - The Division III PING All-Region honorees have been announced by the GCAA. Players across six regions - Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Great Lakes, Central and West - earned all-region honors for 2015. Senior Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.) and junior Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) earned All-Northeast Region honors.

Pollock posted a team-best 75.24 scoring average over 21 rounds this season. He was named First Team All-Conference after a runner-up finish at the Skyline Conference Championship. At the Long Island Intercollegiate Championship, Pollock finished in second place after a school record tying 68 in the final round. He also was the runner-up at the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational hosted by Skidmore with rounds of 76 and 70. In 12 events this year, Pollock recorded two wins and eight top-5 finishes.

Sessions was second on Farmingdale State with a 75.57 scoring aveage over 21 rounds. He posted three victories and nine top-5 finishes in 13 events. Sessions captured the FSC Skyline Invitational and finished fourth in the Skyline Championship to earn First Team All-Conference honors. In the spring, he was the runner-up at Orange County National with a season-best score of 71 (-1) and later won the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational with rounds of 73 and 72.
