Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team posted a final round 305 for a two-day total of 607 and a 13-stroke victory over Dowling College at the FSC Spring Invitational at the Bethpage State Park - Red Course. The Farmingdale State (B) team also carded a two-day total of 607; however, they did not qualify for the team title.

Junior Matt Adwar (Holbrook, N.Y.) who was competing on the (B) team followed his opening round of 77 with a tournament-low 72 in today's final round. Adwar claimed the individual title after defeating St. Joseph's John Melandro in a sudden death playoff. Adwar recorded a par 4 on the first hole to earn the victory. Sophomore Samuele Riva (Cadrezzate, Italy) finished in third place with a two-day total of 150 (73-77) in his first match after missing a year due to injury. Senior Mike Imbriale (Hicksville, N.Y.) rounded out the (B) team with a T4 finish after posting rounds of 74 and 78.

Senior Rocco Costa (Massapequa, N.Y.), junior Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) and freshman Jesse Kovacs (St. James, N.Y.) each finished in a tie for fourth place after recording two-day totals of 152. Senior Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.) shot rounds of 79 and 74 (T8) for the Farmingdale State (A) team.
