Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Rams posted a 302 in the first round of the Farmingdale State Spring Golf Invitational at Bethpage State Park - Red Course this afternoon. The Farmingdale State (B) team also fired a 302 and is tied for the lead.

The Farmingdale State (A) team was led by junior Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) who shot a 74 today and is currently tied for second place. Freshman Jesse Kovacs (St. James, N.Y.) carded a 75, while senior Rocco Costa (Massapequa, N.Y.) posted a 76. Sophomore Andrew Goldman (Hauppauge, N.Y.) pitched in with a 77 for the Rams.

Sophomore Samuele Riva (Cadrezzate, Italy) is the individual leader after an opening round of 73 for the Farmingdale State (B) team. Senior Mike Imbriale (Hicksville, N.Y.) posted a day one score of 74 and is tied for second place.

Nassau CC's Chris Lambrou, John Melandro of St. Joe's and Dowling's George Taylor all shot 74 today and are in a tie for second individually.

St. Joseph's posted a day one total of 309 and are in third place.

Tomorrow's final round will begin at 9:08 tomorrow.
