Bloomfield, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team posted an opening round of 324 and is currently tied for eighth place out of 13 teams at the NYU/Manhattanville Spring Invitational at Forest Hill Field Club.
The Rams were led by senior Rocco Costa (Massapequa, N.Y.) who is T10 after a day one score of 78, while freshman Jesse Kovacs (St. James, N.Y.) fired an 80 and is tied for 20th place.
Middlebury (310) holds a two stroke lead over Rochester (312) and Skidmore (313) is currently in third place.
Tomorrow's final round begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
