Sayville, N.Y. - Senior Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.) tied the Farmingdale State school record with a 3-under par 68 today during the final day of the Long Island Intercollegiate Championship at Island Hills Country Club. The Rams posted a season-best 289 for a two-day total of 605 and a runner-up finish.

Pollock led the way for Farmingdale State as he finished in second place individually with rounds of 76 and 68. Senior Rocco Costa (Massapequa, N.Y.) carded a 1-over par 72 today and finished in a tie for eighth (80-72-152), while junior Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) also finished T8 after scores of 79 and 73.

Sophomore Matt Burnett (Farmingdale, N.Y.), who was competing as an individual and junior Dillon Flynn (Plainedge, N.Y.) each recorded 77's this afternoon, while junior Matt Adwar (Holbrook, N.Y.) shot 76.

Dowling's Charlie Loy, who was the round one leader, claimed medalist honors with a two-day total of 139 (66-73).

Pollock tied Adam Larkin for the lowest single round in school history. Larkin posted 68 twice during his 4-year career both times at the Bethpage State Park - Red Course. Masa Maruyama still holds the record for lowest round in relation to par with his 4-under 69 in the Manhattan College Classic at the Links at Cherry Creek in 2010.

Farmingdale State next will head to Forest Hill Field Club for the NYU/Manhattanville Spring Invitational Saturday and Sunday. The Rams begin play at 1:00 p.m. tomorrow.
