Shoreham, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team posted a final round of 325 and finished tied for fourth place in the 35-40 mph winds at the Dowling College Memorial Tournament held at Tallgrass Golf Club. The Rams finished with a two day total of 623.
Senior Rocco Costa (Massapequa, N.Y.) fired a final round of 80 and finished in third place individually with a two day total of 151. Senior Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.) posted rounds of 72 and 81 for a total of 153 and a T7 finish. Junior Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) and freshman Jesse Kovacs (St. James, N.Y.) each shot 82 in today's final round.
Le Moyne College (296-316-612) earned a five stroke victory over runner-up Chestnut Hill College (293-324-617).
Sam Riemer, the round one leader from Chestnut Hill, earned medalist honors with a two day total of 147 (69-78).
Farmingdale State next will travel to Island Hills Country Club in Sayville, N.Y. for the Long Island Intercollegiate Championship on April 9th and April 10th.
